TEA Dashboards Updated

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has updated the Educator Production dashboards reflecting the number of educators who were issued a standard certificate during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

The person-level dashboard provides information from the 2012-2013 school year through 2024-2025. Educator types include counselor, educational diagnostician, librarian, principal, principal as instructional leader, reading specialist, superintendent, and teacher. It may be used to help answer the following questions:

  • How many teachers were certified through a particular Educator Preparation Program (EPP) during the 2024-2025 school year? There were 9,337 teachers certified through an alternative certification program (ACP), 298 through a post-baccalaureate program, and 8,897 through a traditional education program.
  • Which alternative certification ACP program produced the most certified teachers during the 2024-2025 school year? A+ Teachers produced 3,130 certified teachers leading the ACP route.
  • What university produced the most certified educators in their traditional education route during the 2024-2025 school year? Texas State University led this group with 511 certified educators.

The certificate-level dashboard provides information from the 2012-2013 school year through 2024-2025. Some examples of certification types included on this dashboard are bilingual education, computer science, fine arts, general elementary, mathematics and special education. It may be used to help answer the following questions:

  • Overall, how many teachers became certified during the 2024-2025 school year? There was a total of 48,584 newly issued certificates.
  • How many teachers were newly certified in math, bilingual education, and special education during the 2024-2025 school year? There were 1,921 certified teachers in math, 10,125 in bilingual education, and 9,007 for special education.
  • How many certificates were earned through certification by exam during the 2024-2025 school year? There was a total of 21,113 new certificates issued through certification by exam.
